We didn't have turkey or pie, but we had a pumpkin cake and lots of Canadian wine to celebrate.
We have lots to be thankful for. It's been a good year. Cupcake has enriched our lives so much. We had a fabulous trip to Canada and I have been lucky to have a long vacation from work, and a job to go back to. We have a lot of great friends and family and although some of them are far away the internet age makes it easy to connect. I love video chat. ;)
What are you thankful for?
A Canadian girl in Japan with her family.

I saw your recipe link the other day and the cake came out PERFECT!
I'm thankful that my husband has a secure position in dwindling economy! I'm thankful that I am not content and haven't settled.
I'm thankful for having two happily married parents. I'm thankful that I am still married after 10 years! (cause that is a miracle-- FOR ME)
Nom! That cake looks amazing. I am so glad you had a great Thanksgiving. :D
Hummmm I wondered about getting turkey in Japan-the best we did one year when we were there over the Thanksgiving holidays was to get chicken halves...! I found some thanksgiving decorations at hyaku en shop and decorated the table-my in laws thought is was ...different. It didn't have the same meaning so I doubt I'll do it again.
